Salmon
The Yakama tribe ate a wide variety of food. Salmon was a staple in their diet, they would catch fish using nets, spears, and wooden fish traps and they would cook it over a fire. The Yakama people were good hunters; they would hunt deer, elk, and other small game such as rabbits and ducks. They would use bow and arrows and hunting dogs to catch bigger animals. The women in the tribe would gather berries, nuts and roots to cook with the other food.
